PROVISION OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS
At Billian Music Family, we believe that every child deserves the chance to walk into school with dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging. For many families in Mathare and other underserved communities, the cost of a school uniform is a significant barrier to education. Some children are forced to stay home or face stigma and discrimination for attending school in worn-out or incomplete uniforms.
Through our School Uniform Program, we:
- Provide complete, high-quality school uniforms to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Restore confidence and self-esteem, allowing children to focus on learning rather than feeling different or excluded.
- Encourage consistent school attendance, reducing drop-out rates caused by shame or lack of basic school necessities.
- Support families in financial hardship, easing the burden of choosing between daily survival needs and their children’s education.
This initiative is more than just clothing—it’s a step towards equality in education. By dressing children for success, we give them the opportunity to dream, learn, and build a brighter future.
